OLD TOWN SQUARE

The Old Town Square is the most famous and important square of the City of Prague.

Mixing different architecture’s style, you can find at Old Town Square important monuments of the city as Astronomical Clock, the Gothic Church of Our Lady, the Old Town Hall and the monument of Jan Hus.

CHARLES BRIDGE

The Charles Bridge is the oldest bridge in Prague crossing the river Vltava. The construction started under the King Charles IV in 1357 and finished in almost 100 years.

The bridge connects Old Town to the Prague Castle area. The Charles Bridge has made with 16 arches, 30 statues and 3 towers, one on the side of Old Town and two on the side of Prague Castle area. It is consider one of the most astonishing gothic-style buildings of the world.

One of the places that you cannot miss visiting Prague, you will fall in love with Charles Bridge architecture and atmosphere that will bring you back into history.

PRAGUE CASTLE

The Prague Castle is a castle complex in Prague. It was started on the year 870 with the construction of the first wall around the Church of the Virgin Mary. Then other churches and buildings were added during the centuries.

The Prague Castle was the residence of many kings, emperors and lately of the president of the Czech Republic. During the years it was several times damaged, depredated of art collections and also destroyed by fire, but his charm and his beauty resist thank to the kings that always rebuilt and implemented the constructions.

You must visit the Prague Castle and you should spend much more time possible here! The most important historical events of Prague and Bohemia happened here!

JEWISH QUARTER

Josefov is the name of the Jewish Quarter in Prague. It is located in the city center of Prague, surrounded by Old Town. The first settlement dates back to the 10th century and in 1262 with the Statuta Judaeorum was granted the self-administration of this area.

Legends and historical buildings make this area absolutely unique. You still can visit six synagogues, the old cemetery and the Old Jewish Town Hall (part the actual Jewish Museum in Prague).

The richest part of the city, where the building were almost completely rebuilt in the beginning of the 1900 to follow the Paris style and  where luxury meets architecture and history, must keep some hours of your stay to visit this part of the city center of Prague.

DAVID CERNY

David Cerny is a famous Czech sculptor, born in Prague in 1967. You can admire his works in many place of Prague.

He is the author of the children climbing the Zizkov Television Tower, “Tower Babies”, the statue of St. Wenceslas riding a dead horse (in the Lucerna passage), Peeing Statue and the last “Kafka Head” automatically turning located in the square in front of Hotel Golden Crown.

Very eclectic artist, all his works are subject of controversy and in some case also censorship. His satiric soul makes him one of the most important contemporary sculptors of the country.
